About Collage Congo

Hi, I'm Jennifer of FancyBeehive and I like working with my hands. I have been doing knit, crochet and sewing since I was 5 or 6, and have been busy with handiwork off and on ever since. My more recent interests include silk batik, which intersects creatively with the watercolor painting I have done intermittently for the past two decades. I am also working with collage, paper-making, book-making and related crafts. I am excited to be part of a congo in which I can offer the items that command my interest at the moment, and I look forward to the creative inspiration that comes from this community!

I live in Birmingham, Alabama with my husband of 12 years and two delightful children. You can see my creative work 'du jour' at my blog, http://jenniferathome.typepad.com.

Welcome to WoolCreations at Collage! My name is Annette and I am the owner of WoolCreations Inc. I have been happily married for 25 years and have 3 children and 1 grandchild. I am a fiber artist and doll maker and have been for many years. When my first child was born 22 years ago I created my first doll and ever since then I was hooked on fiber. I developed new skills and found fiber the material to be the one I wanted to work with. At Collage I want to offer and develop new ideas and create unique usable art. My name is Julie and I am the heart of Red Hen Studios. My business derived its name from the collection of ceramic chickens and roosters passed on to me from my grandmother. From her, and other relatives of that generation, l got my passion for crafting, collecting and letting nothing go to waste.

I live in my hometown in upstate NY with my husband of 16 years and our four sons. Come read about our busy household at my blog, http://redhenstudios.blogspot.com.

Before Kids (B.K.), I was a graphic designer who dabbled in photography and crafts. Now most of my creative time is devoted to photography and crafts. I especially like creative upcycling of vintage fabrics, household items and architectural salvage, most of which I find while thrifting. I still dabble in graphic design – it is so much easier and much more fun than in the old days of paste-up and the early Macs.
